Iron Maiden Version of "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner"

Remembering that British schoolkids have been taught this poem (or perhaps used to be taught it), you might be interested in listening to the famous rock version by Iron Maiden, the English heavy metal band, from their Power Slave album (1984).

Some of you might want to blog on the changes made here and what Iron Maiden might be saying to their generation (or to us) in their adaptation of the poem.  For openers, what happens when we get a third-person narration, rather than the original first-person one that has the Mariner speaking to a specific audience?
